Allsvenskan - Kalmar FF v Malmo
21 July 2008
Preview By Tipster Octavian (Romania)
Kalmar will be hosting Malmo FF in Alsvenskaan.
Kalmar stand on first place, 4 points in front of second placed Elfsborg. I believe these two teams will be fighting for the title, as Hammarby have got their points a bit luckily so far, while IFK Goteborg and Helsingborg are too inconsistent in my opinion. Anyway, Kalmar have a 6-1-0 home record, with a 19-5 GD. The only slip they had was in their last home match, 1-1 with Halmstad, a team always difficult to defeat. Kalmar have played away in the UEFA Cup 4 days ago against FC Union from Luxembourg, and they've won 3-0 without struggling, so fatigue is not a problem. The return match will be played with the reserves most likely, so they can focus on this match. After the break, Kalmar are 4-1-0 with a 18-4 overall GD.
Malmo stand on 7th place, 11 points behind Kalmar. Their away record is 2-3-2 with a 9-9 GD. Only two top teams have Malmo played against away form home, and those teams provided them with the two defeats, AIK Stockholm and Helsingborg. Malmo are 1-1-2 after the break, with a 6-8 GD in all competitions.
Kalmar will be missing Tobias Carlsson, Jocke Lantz and Marcel Sacramento for this match. The "good" thing is that Santin will be playing his last match today for Kalmar, after this he will be moving to FC Copenhagen. So himself and his teammates will want to make this one to remember for sure and he will give his best tonight.
Malmo will be missing Anders Andersson, Babis Stefanidis, Labinot Harbuzi, Gabriel, Joakim Nilsson, Jeffrey Aubynn, Agon Mehmeti and Niklas Skoog.
The more important absentees are on Malmo's side. Kalmar also have the home advantage and also their current form is excellent. This is why i am going to bet on them high stakes, as i believe they can win this 3-0 or 3-1. Good luck.
