IMO this is the bet of the day. CSKA 6th in the league welcomes FK Moscow 13th in the league. As you know CSKA coach Gazzaev is leaving at the end of the season, it’s a pity because he guided CSKA to three Premier Liga titles, four Russia Cup successes and UEFA Cup glory in 2005 since returning in 2003. I like him as a coach and always admired him back in the days when he played as a striker, whether that was on international stage or club level. All I can say that this man never gives up, so you can be assured that he will do his best to guide CSKA to another title at the end of the season, although he said he will leave regardless of what happens. He’s a born winner and definitely the right man for CSKA, I can tell you they will miss him. Whoever will replace him will have one hell of a task to succeed at the same level, no doubt!
Ok, now back to the game. I really like this bet because FK Moscow has never managed to beat CSKA away from home and I don’t think that will change today. Although CSKA started season badly they have recovered and have put some decent results together recently, almost beat Amkar Perm, led the game with 20 min. to go and then bang that equaliser (game ended 3-3), then again Perm are second in the league and seems that this season they are force to be reckoned with. Another memorable result has been thrashing Spartak Moscow 5-1.
I’m not gonna go into detail and analyse squads as I think CSKA are much more superior in most departments and in Akinfeev they have very good goalkeeper with a lot of potential. To be honest I can not find one good thing to say about FK Moscow at the moment. They are very negative in their approach to the game and judging by the last 3 games they’ve become draw masters. They are not scoring enough to win the games in fact in the last 2 games they haven’t scored at all.
So we have CSKA with great squad and a lot of potential Vs FK Moscow, team that really struggles to score a goal let alone win the game, I guess that’s why they have negative goal difference to date. Although those days when CSKA used to defeat FK Moscow 3-1 or 4-1 etc. are long gone I think this one will end up being home win, my predicted score line is 2-1 or 2-0.
I know some of you might say what about that friendly defeat not so long ago? It was a friendly and CSKA were experimenting, as well as that game was away from home for CSKA. Great passing & attacking football of CSKA should win this game comfortably. Medium to high stakes on CSKA is my choice. Good Luck!
