UEFA Cup Qualifiers - Olimps Riga v St. Patricks

UEFA Cup clash between Latvian Olimps and Irish St. Patricks. Irish team is big favorite here, i will write this only in short as i don't have much time.

Olimps Riga are playing this UEFA Cup only thanks to their Cup Finals with Ventspils, in league they didn't make it to the place worth UEFA Cup. In fact, they finished last with only eight points from 28 games. At home they had W0-D2-L12 9:34 record, and avoided relegation only thanks to the expansion of the league. This season there are ten instead of eight clubs, but Olimps is still last, W1-D4-L10 10:26 is their record after 15 rounds and only 9th newcomer Blazima is close to them. Team is consisted from young players, and this is their first Euro-cup ever.

Pats are, for the first time, big favorites in some Euro clash. So far they had 18 games of which they managed to win only two, but this time they had opponent that is beatable, they are in great form winning twelve out of eighteen league games and UEFA Cup is their priority. I think they are one level above their todays opponents and they should show it on the pitch. For todays match Pats won't have any bigger injury issues, Frost is still injured, while O'Cearuill is questionable.

Pats fans expect victory, and i think they will get it. Olimps has domestic championship to think of (if they want to stay in league), they seem like less quality team here and i think that their first Euro match will be lost...
