Twenty20 - Kent v Pro40 Div 2

Pro40 Division 2 winners!!!!!

Despite Kent being in Division 2 of the Pro40 i believe them to be the BEST 1 day side in the country. They have already booked there place at the Twenty20 finals day in Hampshire and are in the Friends Provident final at Lords too.

The Pro40 replaced the old 'sunday league' and has been cut down to just 8 matches per side 4 home 4 away the competition is somewhat overshadowed now by the Twenty20 and FP Trophy which is a shame.

Kent line up against :Essex, Surrey, Northants, Yorkshire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire Leicestershire and Glamorgan in Div 2 and i fancy them to win it. Kent batting line up is very long with :Denly, Key, Van jaarsveld, Kemp, Mahmood Stevens, Jones and Arafat all capable of scoring plenty of quick runs its bar far the most destructive looking line up in the league, there bowling is pretty good too with just the right blend of mixed pace and spin.

Essex could push them close (they are also in the other 1day final days too) but they will only play 2 matches at 'fortress Chelmsford' and the other 2 at outgrounds could well take away some of there advantage and they are away to Kent too.

Of the rest Warwickshire look a decent 1day side and Yorkshire in the right conditions could do well. Surreys bowling looks poor but the batting looks good on paper. The other side might just lack consistancy to win more than 3 or 4 game and i think (weather permitting) 6 wins will be needed to take the title i think.

6.0 looks a cracking price to me for Kent to lift the title and im more than happy to get stuck into that price.
