Aintree - Race 3 v Race Winner

A brilliant renewal of the Old Newton cup handicap, and I'm having a big eachway bet to nothing on the Luca Cumani favourite Mad Rush. This very lightly raced son of Lemon Drop Kid has never been out of the first 3 in his 6 lifetime outings, and has tons of scope, and in all probability is a little bit better than a handicapper. He has run twice this season in 2 big handicaps and been beaten into second both times by handicap "blots". Last time out at Royal Ascot he came to win the race, but the winner had got first run on him, and he couldn't quite peg him back in time. He has been raised over 15lbs for being beaten twice, but I still think he is unexposed. Seb Sanders makes it the 7th different jockey to ride him in all his starts and Seb couldn't be in better form as he rode a quality treble yesterday for his normal retainer Sir Mark Prescott. Seb is riding out of his skin this season, and his first english classic win aboard Look Here in the oaks seems to have improved him even further.

There are of course many others in with chances, but I really can't see him being out of the first 4 here and he should go on and win. It's money back if he places, and a healthy profit should he come out on top.
