Damm-Paes Knowles-Nestor
I rarely bet on doubles except at some very big events like a Wimbledon semifinals. Nestor and Zimonjic, two guys both born in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, really compose one great doubles team and have been playing quite amazing tennis in the past months which enabled them to become the number 2 pair in the world and actually a team that earned the most this season. Both are already nearing the end of their careers but are playing like youngsters thanks to their fitness trainer from Serbia who is working with both of them on the physical condition and apparently doing a great job. I'd say these two guys have mastered the game of doubles which helps them use every single chance their opponents give them. Both are really great servers and net players which makes them one of the most fearful team in the world right now. Nestor's only wish he's still yet to fullfill is a Wimbledon trophy and he'll have the titles in all 4 Grand Slams. Zimonjic, on the other hand, has so far participated in all finals, twice in the Wimbledon and this will be his third attempt to win it and he is very motivated as well. He's won three mixed doubles GS titles, but never one in men's (been a runner-up 3 times) so this will be his chance to win his first GS title ever so no doubt he is very motivated as well. Both are, as I said, in a terrific shape and are more than ready to pass to the finals where they will give their best (probably) against the Bryan brothers.
Dlouhy/Paes of course possess certain quality, they have reached the Wimbledon SF after all, but they are only 29th on the men's doubles rankings and are not too promising of a couple, despite some of their solid recent results. This match will not be some fast-running duel because Paes is also quite old for a tennis player (35-yrs) so the most of the running should be on the Czech Dlouhy who really isn't that great of a player, a very bad returner and poor server. I'd say Paes is carrying on this doubles team so far but he won't be able to do that when he faces two guys with similar experience and better quality.
Odds are great for a higher punt and I recommend it strongly because I just cannot see how Nenad and Daniel will miss out on this probably the last opportunity to write their names as the winners of the oldest tennis tournament in the world.
Best of luck.
