The Storm reserves went down by 2 points last week to the Eels but this week the Storm get all their players back although there seems to be some doubt with Smith who picked up a knock in Origin, the Raiders were well and truly brought back to earth last Monday as the Sharks rolled them in Canberra.
The Raiders are up against it ths week regardless of the Storm having so many players backing up for them, the Raiders will have Monoghan back for this match but Tounge who is an intergral part of the Canberra machine is in doubt after the tackle by Tauliapapa last week and could be out with Rib damage and that just compounds the Raiders woes even more, the Raiders although not many people seem to be paying any attenttion to it are losing players weekly and are now almost down to the scraps, they are miising players nboth i the backs and forwards and although they have been competitive they are not getting any better personal wise at all this season, they have found some good young talent but overall the raiders are playing a few players with limited NRL experience with Carney the Winger,Goodwin and Milne in their backline and are missing 5 frontline forwards fro this match they are also playing Best who is a winger in at centre,so really the Raiders are all over the place player wise.
The Storm after Origin games even with almost all of their first grad side backing up have won each match by a landslide, against the Cowboys they won 48-20 and the Bulldogs was a massive 46-0 effort, the Storm at home are beating sides by an average of 20 points and really will probaly do that again this week against a Raiders side short on troops and desperate for a win.
Recent results and the Storm have beaten the Raiders in Canberra already this season in what was a great game where the Raiders were up at the half before being reeled in and beaten 16-23 by the Premiers, the Storm have won the last 12 against the Raiders and in Melbourne the Storms average winning margin against them is 16 points.
The Storm at home have apart from their last game against the Cowboys there have won each game and have restricted sides to under 10 points and tired or not I expect the same thing from the Storm this week also, the Storm started slowly against the Cowboys last game at home but finished all over them and won by 28,the Storm players backing up are largely from Queensland also and that should bring a feel good vibe to them and regardless of the Raiders playing well or not I expect the Storm to win this one quite well by more than 16 anyway...Take the Storm to cover the spread here...Good Luck.
These odds are with TAB(Victoria),I am going away today for the weekend and I have to post now or never, check the odds at other bookies later but I doubt it will climb much higher than this...Good Luck with your punting and have a good weekend.
