ATP - Andy Murray v Richard Gasquet
30 June 2008
Preview By Tipster Lordburt (England)
Murray has played some nice inventive tennis to reach the 4th round and has dropped just the 1 set so far. He has been made to work for his wins....but not too hard thankfully. Ive always found Murrays biggest weakness is his mental strength and it will be interesting to see how he holds up if things start to go against him.
Richard Gasquet reached the Semi Final here last year and is going to be a very tough opponent for Murray. Like Murray, Gasquet has dropped just the 1 set so far, but that 4 setter with fellow Frenchman was what he needed after the retirement of Grosjean in round 2 after the 2nd set.
I think break points are going to be at a minimum in this match, Murrays serve is getting better and better and he has infact hit more aces than the lean Frenchman so far. Gasquet holds a 2-0 H2H between the pair but i wouldnt bother reading to much into than. A big Centre Court crowd are sure to be Cheering Murray along here and although the odds on Gasquet are very tempting i think
Murray might just have enough to set up a Nadal Q/F meeting.
Im happy to invest a small amount of this mornings profit on Gasquet to take the opening set in the tie break, Ladbrokes offer 9.00 on this and im more than happy to play again because i cant see many breaks in this match, especially early on.
