Eircom League - Cobh Ramblers v Sligo Rovers
Second from behind Cobh will try to erase bitter impression that they left in their derby match against Cork a week ago when they lost 0:5. As they are in really dangerous zone, already four points below relegation line they would desperately need at least a point, but against Sligo it will be anything but easy.
Cobh is only team that still didn't reached double digits in "goals scored" column. They've scored only seven goals in 15 league games, which is less then 0,50 per match. On the other side, they don't really concede too much, or it was like that in the beginning as their last few games suggest that defensive line isn't in form (2:12 goal difference in last four). To make things worst for them, their best scorer Kevin Murray (scored four of their seven goals) and midfielder Michael Mulconry are suspended for this match.
Sligo was, in one moment, the hottest team in league, but summer break came at good time as they were three games without a win, picking only one point. Anyway, that was the toughest part of their schedule as they had to play Pats, Drogs and Bohs respectively. In the first match after break they had goalless draw at home vs UCD which can't be rated as good result, but they maybe deserved more. Anyway they are still in chance of reaching Setanta or even Euro Cups so they will look for points here. For this match they will again be without long term injured Steve Feeney, and striker Matthew Judge who is out with the flu. On the bright side, they will welcome back defenders Seamus Coleman and Chris Butler, same as attacker Romauld Boco.
With all this in mind, under looks like a good bet, especially as Cobh scored more then once only one time this season, and without first attacker they probably won't score. But as Sligo is untypical Ireland team that scores and concedes a lot in one match, just to play boring goalless draw in next one i will skip under (odds are too low for that risk) and try level ball on Sligo. They should have more quality among their ranks, with few players that are coming back into team they should have enough to challenge Cobh today.
