Twenty20 - Northamptonshire v Somerset Cricket betting preview

A little look at tonights Twenty20 matches and we see Northamptonshire Vs Somerset

At the start of Twenty20 both these sides looked like they could be strong, Northants has a whole hosts of fast scoring batsmen big hitters and some very good bowlers which is ideal in this format of the game, Somerset too have a line up that should have done well at this format.

Somerset need to win there final 2 matches to stand a chance of making the quarter-finals but if Northamptonshire lose there final 2 matches too then Somerset will be in as Group runners up. This may seem a big ask but.......as we see they meet each other tonight and a Somerset win would put real pressure on Northamptonshire to go to currently unbeaten Warwickshire and possible need a result.

Northants have began to stutter in Twenty20 cricket recently, after winnning there opening 4 matches they have now won just 1 of 4 and the pressure is beggining to mount. Somerset seem to make good starts in matches with Trescothick Langer and Trego all amongst the runs but after they depart they stumble along to a score below what you might have expected.

I'll take the odds against (Somerset) to win this as they have nothing to lose and everything to gain and if a few more players can contribute with bat and ball are a side that can easily start hitting scores around 200 again. If im backing Somerset to win tonight then i may as well back them to win the Twenty20 outright at 67.00 with Totesport because if they win tonight them odds will be well gone come the morning so it might be worth splitting my stake over the match and outright
