Euro 2008 - Germany v Turkey

Until now Turkey have been able to do at least two good results, first of all they joined the quarter of final and then they overcome Croatia after an hard battle. Now in the semifinal they are called to do a miracle, 14 players available due injuries and suspension for coach Terim (the new national hero), it seems that their third goalkeeper could be lined up like a forward if it will be necessary.

Volkan, the goalkeeper is suspended, in the defensive line Emre Gungor and Servet is injured while Emre Asik is suspended. In midfield Emre Belozoglu is injured, Arda Turan and Tuncay Sanli are suspended. The main absence for Turkey will be for sure in the attack line where the captain Nihat is injured.

Germany, after having had a very bad beginning of tournament, in the quarter of final shown a good condition both physical and mental. For this match they shouldn’t have absence and I don’t find in them a single players with less technical than the Turkey players, it’s true until now Turkish have filled the gap with the fighting and the pressing but in the actual condition I can’t believe that they will be able to reach the final.

A German win here without any doubt.
