Monday Night Footy this week throws up a very intresting clash with the Sharks missing Gallen to Origin and Bird to injury while the Raiders who have been going very well up against the Sharks but minus Monoghan who has been called up to Origin duty, this game is very intresting.
The Raiders have had two very good wins against the Bulldogs and Broncos but the Broncos side was decimated before the start of that game due to injuries and the Bulldogs were just pathetic,I think this game will be an upset win to the Sharks because the Raiders will not find some of the holes that they have been in recent weeks, the Raiders really have ran into two sides who they should of beaten and they have done quite easily, but Monoghan has been in outstanding form of late and without him the Raiders could lose some structure in their backline, they do have a great half back but the Raiders are still yet to win an arm wrestle type game and this game has all the hallmarks of being just that
The Sharks effort in defence last week was superb but once again their scoring woes resurfaced, but with a defence like the one they have been displaying you can't count them out at all, also take into account that on the road they have been far more dominant this season winning 6 and losing only 2 and the Sharks really have every reason to fancy themselves here in the Capital tonight, the Sharks have their halves for this game and have a good forward pack as well as a solid backline so all in all the Sharks have every chance to win this game.
Recent results and the Sharks have won 4 of the last 5 against the Raiders, their lone loss in that span came at Cronulla and in Canberra the Sharks have won 3 staright against the Raiders.
It's unlikey that the Sharks will win this by much as the Raiders at home have shown they can play, but the Sharks have also shown they love playing away and with the Raiders perhaps being over confident with their wins over the last few weeks I think this game will remain close as most of their games are,the Sharks have won 6 of the last 10 between the two sides but the margin has been under 12 points regardless of the winner in 7 of those games.
I like the Sharks here tonight in a game where not many are expecting it,take the Sharks by 12 or less or just at the h2h...Good Luck.
