WTA - Stosur v Nicole Vaidisova

I hope that after few awful picks my feeling won't go wrong and this pick is a real value. I don't get it why such high odds for Samantha Stosur? She should be favourite here for sure. Maybe it is because h2h record which Nicole leads 5:0 or maybe because she beat Stosur year ago in Eastbourne 2:1 or maybe because she need to defend a lot of ranking points because year ago she reached quarter-final here. Well all those things don't convince me at all. Because that what Vaidisova is showing on court in last weeks is terrible and awful. I really don't know what happened to that girl but she is out of form and have some serious problems with psyche on court. In spite she achieved a lot on grass she don't fit here to me. She is more hard, i-hard player, because on grass her legs work is too slow. She is weak at defence but focused much more on strong serve and backhand. Lately she really disappoints - awful clay season, and not good grass start. Loses to Mattek in Birmingham (3:6, 0:6)) and in first round against Govortsova in Eastbourne (2:6, 4:6). Both are worse than Nicole tomorrow's opponent - Australian Stosur. Nicole in my opinion is now focused on her wedding rather than on playing tennis and I don't think she will defend points at all cost. Samantha is playing extremely way on grass with serve and volley strategy. Nice performance in Eastbourne where she reached semi-final. Years in doubles gave her a lot of experience in volley and she sees much more on court. Now she returned to singles and seems to be fully recovered from injury. Both ladies beat their opponents 6:2, 6:2 in first round and as I see on statics both played quite well, without many unforced errors. Still I think that Nicole is not in good form and she will have big problems with Stosur tomorrow. Year ago she was in much better form and still played 3 setter with Samantha, this year Vaidisova showed a lot of weakness and I hope Australian will use this.
