Cricket World Cup - England v England

When Twenty20 cricket first started it was a bit of fun in the middle of the summer for players and spectators alike, but now with big bucks up for grabs it is taken very serious indeed.
Hampshire Hawks are in a decent position in the South Diision 4 wins and 3 defeats sees them in with a chance of making the Q/Fs and if they can keep winning could top the group and earn a very profitable home tie. Surrey are out of it with just 1 win from 7 they have nothing to play for other than pride. Surrey have brought some youngsters into the squad for tonight.
Michael Lumb has had a good Twenty20 campaign so far at the top of the Hampshire batting line up, scores of 15 36 54 38 45 32 and 18 are pretty consistant in this slap happy form of cricket. 238 runs at an average of 34 and a strike rate of 158.66 is as good as any in the 'Hawks' camp.
Lumb will probably open with Ian Harvey tonight and the left hand right hand opening combination is never easy for bowlers to deal with. Both Lumb and Harvey will be looking to score quick runs in the opening 6 overs.
Opening batsmen have an obvious chance to top score in this format with fielding restrictions in place for the first 6 overs and any opener who is still batting after 10 overs becomes pretty difficult to overtake. Most of the time the openers are priced up somewhere between 4.00 and 5.00 to be top scorer, Lumb can be backed at 4.50 in places but with Bluesq is 7.00 its too big a price for me to ignore.
Lumb is in form, scoring quickly and with a bit of fortune could well top score. At 4.50 i wouldnt touch it but at 7.00 im more that happy to take the value.
