Euro 2008 - Russia v Special Bet

I didin't take any bets during the Euro, I sat back and enjoyed the tournament. But as known in all gambling entertainment, if u don't bet you don't get. Therefore in poker u cannot fold forever as u will soon find yourself shortstacked. I am gonna raise.. err place a bet on Russia after seing all teams in action. Interestingly enough Spain ahem..were placed as VISITORS on this game..I wonder y? Maybe to secretly justify odds around 2.1 ? Spain were very convincing in Group stage but they almost cracked under pressure from a not so threatening Italy. Russia had a controlled, mature display v Holland and now they believe more in themselves. Of course you have always to respect the strikers ability, like Torres and Villa but Russia likes it when ball is placed down on the field.

The Italians tried with only one man in front to create something while the Russians are coming from all sides, they are pretty good at running forward as one unit. They are taller than the Spanish and more strong something who certainly rules out crosses and headers for the Spaniards. They can only rely on Ramos to head home. Russia will not have influential defender Kolodin (with a very stong right foot shooting with menace from 32 and 44 yards) but he also made a terrible mistake against the Netherlands but he didn't pay for it.

I am gonna go with RUSSIA think they can get ahead in this game and stay on top. I am also going for Russia to win the competition. Euro 2004 was won by Greece and not the Favorites Portugal we might see a similar situation here as Lehmann is prone to mistakes (i think germany will go through) and the Germans (with their slow central defenders) were a bit lucky to turn into a goal every single opportunity v Portugal. They might get it from the BEAR in the final. Rooooaarrr! Good luck to everyone with your bets.
