Hosts need points badly as they only managed to draw against much a improved side of Venezuela, who beat Brazil for the very first time in a friendly game (2:0) just a several days before that. Uruguayans have been quite inconsistent lately, but their quality, especially upfront, is never to be underestimated, especially with the likes of Forlan, Abreu and Suarez. Their primary goal is to win this match, otherwise they can pretty much say goodbye to the WC, as teams like Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil are almost there, while Colombia and also Chile have advantage over them.
Peruvians are also in a must win situation as they are yet to win a game in this qualifications. They were (expectedly) held at 1-1 draw last week when they were hosting Colombia. They are particularly dangerous at home, where they play at high altitude, but their away performances and results are poor. Recently they got drubbed by Mexico in a friendly game as they conceded 4 goals in the first 30 mins. They are yet to find an effective game plan, especially they need to improve their defence, which looks really poor. You don`t want to visit Montevideo, especially when a host is hungry of points. Quality difference and home support should prevail here and I expect Uruguay to win by more than one goal. Something like 3-0 or 3-1 comes to my mind! Safer option would be an AH -1, but I decided to take some risk here! Good luck!
