Today starts the last round of segunda. Both teams lie safely in the middle and except for the pride, they have nothing much to play for. Under the influence of a new coach Caesar Ferrando, hosts have improved drastically and they have been one of the best sides in the league since his arrival. It is true they lost at Tenerife last week, but won 4 games in a row before that time and haven`t lost since the late march which is impressive. Rubén Perez and Jiménez Robert are long term injured, David Medina is suspended, while Carlos Pladevall & Moisés Garcia return after suspension.A change or two is expected in the squad before tonight`s match.
Salamanca seems to be in a deep trouble. Their financial status is still uncertain and it may well be,that this is their last game in segunda. There was also a quarrel between the players and the directive of the club, as they had to take a long trip with a bus instead of a plane. Well this surely doesn`t contribute to a morale boost right before the game with no importance at all. Besides that several players are out injured. Jorge Alonso, Sergio Postigo, Zé Tó, Alberto, Vasco Fernandes, Diego Torres & Javier Acuña are all out and that is another blow for Salamanca. I expect Nastic to win this game. After all this will be Antonio Pinilla`s last game as he will retire after that and I am sure he/they will want to win it. We should see more than two goals and the first thing that comes on my mind is 3-1 for the hosts! Good luck!
