Royal Ascot - Race 5 v Race Winner

I've been to Royal Ascot a good few times, but this year will be the first time I have been on ladies day.

I'm really looking forward to it, and I'm hoping that Yeats will make a bit of history and be the first ever horse to win 3 gold cups on the trot. He has won his last 2 with a little bit to spare and he is pretty much the best staying flat horse in the last 20 years.

He was thought of as a Debry horse 4 years ago when he would have gone into the event unbeaten and a very short pirce, but he had a training setback and missed the race. He was back a year later however and hacked up in the coronation cup which is run over the same course and distance as the derby, so he has bundles of talent. O'brien then tried him as a stayer and he has just gone from strength to strength. He has won 4 group 1's and will ahve been primed to the minute for this tilt in history. He has won 5 out of his last 6 races and I think doesn't have too much to beat. Septimus would be a big danger, but I think o'brien will not be running him. The french could spoil the party with unbeaten coastal path, but he has yet to run in a race of the highest level and I am happy to have a very big bet on Yeats
