Euro 2008 - Italy v Romania

Interesting game between the world champions and Romania.

Before the EURO, i used to say that both Croatia and Romania had chances to go to the semi-finals. Croatia already almost booked their place there, and Romania, after a 0-0 draw with France, fight today for they chances to the quarter finals.

Romania has a solid team, like we saw against France. France only made one shot on goal in the entire game, which proofs the efectiveness of the romanian defence, specially Rat, Contra, Chivu and Tamas. Lobont is also a great goalkeeper. The team was 400 minutes without conceding a goal since qualifying and looks able to continue on.

They won't play too much on the backyard; Mutu, Niculae, Dica, Marica are dangerous and good players, able to control the ball.

Italy won't have a easy mission today. World famous by the solid defense, Italy cracked against Holland but specially showed a lack of offense power, with Toni lost in field.

The bet on 0-0 in the half time looks very tempting to me. Both teams have a hard defense and i bet the game will be very tactical, specially because who lose will be out of the EURO. So, with 2.60 of odds, looks a good bet. If the bet is lost, is because we will have an open game, over 2.5.
