Euro 2008 - Netherlands v France

This fixture is a secondround match in group C of "Death" as they say. A group with France, Netherlands, Italy and Romania. Every one of these matches should provide us with lots of entertainment. Im sure we will see another attractive match between Holland and France.

France did not impress me at all during the their first clash with Romania, the team received some serious critics, especially about their lack in offensive efforts. Their best player IMO was Willy Sagnol, a defender!

France will approach this game as a must win. Therefore I expect them to make some changes in their starting eleven. Henry and Viera will be back after their injuries. With Viera and Henry they will try to push more forward.

Holland was very strong against the Italians, they managed to score 3 goals against one of the tightest defences in the world. What made this victory available for the Dutch was their perfect team play. They defended as a team and they scored as a team. I don't think van Basten will make any changes against the French, maybe we will see a starting role for van Persie, butt I don't think the coach will change a winning team.

French under pressure, while dutch more relaxed. France has to come forward whilest the Dutch don't really have to, butt its in the Dutch mentallity to play offensive football. France have the better player's who can make a difference with an individual action inside the sixyardbox. Butt the Dutch showed me better teamplay both in the Italy match as during the friendly's before the tournament. France will have to take more risks, this will suit the Dutch. They showed perfect counter-attacks against the Italians and can do this to the French. The more risks the French will take the better chances the Dutch will have in a 3 point victory.
