Euro 2008 - Switzerland v Turkey

Fatih Terim disappointed me in first group game against Portugal as he did not let Arda play not even a single minute. The players who established the first 11 were not familiar with each other. When did Colin Kazim play in the same team together with Mevlut? Or when did Gokhan Zan play together with Hakan Balta in a formal match? Also when did Tuncay take duty on the left wing? Who is Emre Belezoglu? What did he achieve last season in Newcastle? Is he enough to be brain of Turkish national team? Thanks God he is injured.

I do not know why he sent so many players who are above Turkish standards such as Yildiray, Halil, Ibrahim, Umit Karan (he was not even called) when he kept Tumer, Semih, Mevlut, Gokhan Zan. During the match he should have immediately taken action when Tuncay was not enough and replaced him with Arda to the left wing additional to this he should have located Ayhan or Topal who were the best players of Galatasaray in the last league Championship. How about Emre Gungor the beautiful defender? We are hoping Fatih Terim would stop being clown and take action right away as Turkey was embarrassing in their first test. Turkey could not even threat Portuguese defenders.

Now in this game the rival for Turkey is home team Switzerland who also lost the first game of their group matches. I do not believe Switzerland is above the strength of Turkish football even their coach Kobi Jakob Kuhn confirmed my opinion as he declared

“Turkey did a great job to qualify from the group. We are far away from Turkey’s successes, it is easy to see they are better team in tactical, conditional and technical, and in order to beat them we are making a lot of work.”

I am hoping this terrible man Fatih Terim will stop doing these silly mistakes and will put a regular Turkish team where you can watch Arda, Mehmet Topal, Ayhan or Emre Gungor. Thanks God it is declared Emre Belezoglu will not play due to his injury. It is a bad news for Switzerland that Frei will not be fit during the competition and this will be a challenge for Switzerland to score.
