Well, my initial thought was to go on under but I woke up to late and bookies have already adjusted the line that I can’t find any value on them.
Reigning champs from Hellas are entering the competition today and I’m sure memories from Portugal are still fresh in their head and especially the tactical scheme and discipline that gave them the cup. Even if some things have changed since then, and I dare to say that they improved offensively, Coach Rehaggel is set to field the same organization that was a winner 4 years ago, with 3 central defenders, 2 others on the wings and 3 defensive and hard working mid fielders. The main objective is to not concede and then look for some scoring opportunities on counter or set pieces, as Karagounis have showed us his skills against Portugal some weeks ago.
Sweden is still the same, looking great in qualifications but always lacking a leader to pass rounds by. The team has a good defensive organization and a generally careful approach of the game. It’s true that with Zlatan/Elmander/Larsson, the offensive power looks great but Kallstrom won’t start, and Ljunberg is not on the same level he was some years ago.
All in all, I believe we are bound to see a quite boring match in which I’m sure both teams will fear each other a bit. Draw ain’t a dramatic results as everything is very open in the group and will be decided on last match day.
