Euro 2008 - Austria v Croatia

Croatia played absolutely perfect in the qualifications, beating England twice and showing dominant performances almost in every match that they played. Maybe someone will say that Croatia has inexperienced players and coach, but the performance of the team is showing maturity and the fact that they finished above Russia and eliminated England is saying that they are mature enough, tactically prepared enough and not to say about quality that they posses.

Austira is in my opinion the worst team in this Euro and I believe if they were not the host nation they won’t qualify for some major tournament for ages. Despite they are host nation they will not have a single point of advantage over Croatia today. Croats are having huge support from their fans and they are expected to be in huge number for today’s match.

Croatia in every aspect of the game is better, they are technique superior team, they have better individuals, better team spirit, their motivation is on highest possible level (I am not saying that Austiras motivation is lower) and they will control the game since the first minute. I do not think that Austria can take something from this match. Yesterday Switzerland lost their first match and I believe that after today both host nations will start the championship with losses.
