For me it is Mario Gomez, so I wouldn´t play this bet, if Gomez plays upfront with Klose. But Gomez (6 goals in 10 matches for GER) is only striker No3 for Loew, cause Podolski suits better to Klose. Klose underperformed this season, he was in the shadow of Luca Toni, he is far away from the form at the WC 2006, but he is still scoring goals for the national team. In 3 games this year (3-0 Austria, 4-0 Switzerland, 2-2 Belarus) he scored 3 goals. Gomez scored also 3. The other player I´m scared of is Ballack. He is in outstanding form, by far the best German player ag. Serbia, so if you want cover this bet I would rather take Ballack than Podolski (both @7.00). I see this German team again in the Semi-Finals (as 2 years ago), that means (at least) 5 games for Germany, in these 5 games Klose (played 65, scored 39 goals) should score 3 goals to win this bet. No one of the opponenets in Group B has world-class defenders, so 2 goals from Klose in those matches is not out of reach.
