Portugal, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Turkey
Portugal is without a doubt the best team in this group. They have very experienced players, that they know how to play on big tournaments. They also have Cristiano Ronaldo without a doubt the best player in the world at the moment. The main reason why I choose them to advance from group stage is that they, despite they quality and deep squad, they do not have some tough opponents. Switzerland is host nation, but they are far away from Portugal’s quality. Yes, they can cause troubles, but they cannot finish above Portugal. Czech Republic is having change of generations, many good players are no longer in the team and Bruckner’s influence is very low at the moment, after failure of controlling his stars in previous tournament. Turkey has good players and solid team, but they are not on high level. I expect full Portugal dominance in this group and having easy pass into the quarter finals.
