Many things have already been said by the fellow tipsters about this one, but let me add my point of view.
I have a bit a problem understanding the odds we are offered on this one, I was expecting the book to favour the “home team” but it seems that they did not agree with this thought.
Switzerland is a team that has really improved over the past few years in the European scene. Their display at the last world cup was quite impressive; in the way they have based their game on a pretty solid defense led by Senderos, Muller and Lichteiner who just had a great season in Lille. The “Nati” is a solid bloc with also talented players in the midfield and has striker Frei who seems to have regain some form lately.
On the other side Czech Republic is in my opinion a bit over rated compared to the Swiss. The team is getting really old- but experienced- but I have trouble finding anything positive to say about them since they’ll suffer big time from Rosicky injury. Up front they look weak with Baros, far from its 04 form, and Koller who is still dangerous on set pieces, but very limited. The Czech defense looks like the most solid part of their game, especially with Cech between the posts.
All in all, I’m expecting Switzerland to be fired up by the home atmosphere and by this opening game. The game looks like an under with two defensive who’ll try to not make a mistake at first, but odds are somehow low for it. I’d prefer the DNB option in favour of the swiss as I give them a relative advantage over the Czech.
