Odds on this match surprised me a lot. Gulbis run surprised everyone after convincing wins over Greul, Blake and Lapentti. But let's face truth - if Gulbis stay calm He can overcome passive defenders as well as ball basher who has worse day than him. Now opponent is absolute different from previous and in my opinion - worst match up for Gulbis. Llodra stunned some favorites with unusual game on clay. It's really amazing how He is so far, going in net so often. I think main reason of that is incredible French crowd, that generates so much confidence in local players. There is a lot surprises by them, putting so much pressure on opponents - easy frustrated players like Bolelli and Soderling just got damaged badly mentally, that opens all doors for confident Frenchies. And taking account that Gulbis isn't great passing shot maker and will not find any rhythm from baseline + can't use dropshots so often against player like Llodra. I also don't understand why He practiced with Soderling and Mathieu in dayoff instead of some serve and volleyer. Mika has good record in close matches and I can't see him falling against Gulbis now. And He definitely is favorite for me in this match.
