World Cup 2010 Qual.
Gabon Lesotho
Gabon (99.) plays Lesotho (159.) in Libreville. Another quali group with a clear favourite, in this case Ghana, two contenders for 2. place, Gabon and Libya, and an outsider, Lesotho. Gabon is a well-organised but limited team with a famous coach, Alain Giresse. They have also some good players in the squad, the best is probably Daniel Cousin, striker from the Glasgow Rangers. Mouloungui plays for Strasbourg, Aubameyang plays for Ajaccio. Gabon will co-host the ANC in 2012 with Equatorial Guinea, so their main goal is to build a strong squad for that tournament, but also to qualify for the next stage of this quali (the 1. placed and the 8 best 2. placed from each group will qualify) and play with strong teams. Lesotho is a minnow in African football. Their recent away games against equal or better teams than Gabon: 0-2 Nigeria, 2-3 Namibia, 0-2 Angola, 1-1 Zimbabwe, 0-3 Uganda. They are definitely not a push-over, so a narrow Gabon win is possible. I´ve decided to take the nice odds for handicap win, I would give not more than 2.20, a nice offer from Nordicbet. The average odds for hw are 1.48, Nordicbet offers 1.60.
