Extreme value, and odds already started to drop.
Shamrock, since the beginning of the season is rated as mid-table team, but i think they might fall behind, as "2nd season syndrome" might occur. After excellent start with three wins and a draw, they are winless for seven games, picking only three points. Playing against three of the four worst teams in league at the time, this aren't good results. To make things worst they are missing eight players through injuries/suspensions. Chris Mulhall, Darren Stapleton, John Martin and Robbie Creevy were already injured, but from last round there are three new injuries - Dessie Baker, Danny O'Connor (suspended) and Eric McGill. Also Pat Flynn is suspended.
Defending champions Drogheda aren't at their best as they are already nine points behind. However, their form is now much better then in the beginning of the season and they are fully motivated to win today. On their day no one can stop them and today might be their day after two games without a win. In last round they've outplayed leaders Pats who twice came from behind with a dose of luck. Another motivation for Drogs side will be their first mutual meeting on the opening of the season when Shamrock made surprise winning away 1:0. Drogs are without their captain Declan O'Brien, Shane Barrett and 2nd keeper Dan Connor.
Conclusion: Even without this missings for Shamrock, Drogheda would be favorite in my eyes. Now, they can't lose more points and i think they will win it today. No important missings for them, opponent that has big problems and Drogs should show why they were champions last season.
Predicted score: 1:2
