MLB - Atlanta Braves v New York Mets

What a great odd this is, the Atlanta braves are really on fire lately and facing this mets that are lacking a lot of confidence lately (specially on this series against the braves).

The mets are sending in J Santana , a great pitcher, no question, he has a season ERA of 3.66 – well but Santana has been allowing a lot of hits recently – he has good control, strikes out good, and generally he is great pitcher, but tonight he wont have the kind of support he need from her offensive.

The braves are sending in T Hudson, another great pitcher - he has a season ERA of 3.06 – he has been showing some control problems in the last games, but never the less he still got some good remarks and didn’t allow many hits. I think he will perform better then Santana due to their recent WHIP differences (1.211 vs 1.520) , so in my opinion slight advantage here for the braves – but the important aspect of this pick is the following: Santana will stay in 5,6 innings at the most, and with the terrible bullpen the Mets have (ERA of 5.49 on road) things will be hard on them then.

On top of that the braves are hitting so much better (0.288 vs 0.229) so in my opinion this big handicap is a good offer.
