MLB - Boston Red Sox vs Kansas City Royals Baseball betting preview

Well I Know boston got back on track after sweeping the Milwaukee in the weekend but for me this royals are playing pretty good and I believe they will win tonight – why? Because they have better bullpen , and because they are more confident and Boston pitcher is a lot more unstable facing teams hitting very good like these two are in the moment.

Boston will send in Lester a pitcher that has showed a good game but facing normally low offensive teams – when he goes against a team that hit good he normally doesn’t do so well – that is happening tonight. He has a season ERA of 3.95 has showed lot’s of control problems and will stay in the game 5,6 innings at most.

The royals will send in Hochevar, a pitcher that a season ERA of 3.95, but with a better WHIP then Lester (1.382 vs 1.474) – hochevar is normally the other way around – usually performs better when facing good offensive teams, like the one tonight. Has also problems with his control, but is going to be helped by a better bullpen from Kansas – yes if in trems of ERA boston bullpen is slightly better (3.92 vs 4.37), in terms of WHIP Kansas bullpen is a lot better (1.270 vs 1.560) so I give a edge in bullpen for the visitors also here.

In terms of batting both teams are doing very well at the moment, with a slight advantage for the red sox (0.317 vs 0.307), but they had faced some much more easy to score teams in the last 7 games, so normally I would expect a large edge on pitching, which means that I really believe the Kansas will bat better tonight – it’s a huge odd, but a overvalued odd in my opinion, for me the royals are favourites here and they could match this handicap.
