MLB - Atlanta Braves vs Oakland Athletics Baseball betting preview

This is another bet made mainly by the way these teams present tonight in terms of their pitching staff. A lot of advantage for te A’s in this one, so I’m going for them in the big handicap.

The braves will be sending in J Reyes, a pitcher with a season ERA of 4.29 – he is quite unstable pitcher and in my opinion when facing team hitting good he slumps, its not the case tonight, but even so I predict him to have a worse performance in pitching then his opponent.

The A’s are sending in Duchcherer , which has a season ERA of 2.20, pitching 1.93 in the last 3 games – this pitcher is one of their best and is doing quite good lately – he is confident and showing a lot of good material there. The main difference between these two has to with the fact it’s a lot harder to hit against duchcherer then Reyes (WHIP 1.081 vs 1.704 – it’s a big difference) – adding to this duchcherer will stay longer on the pitch and altought Atlanta has the edge on bullpen (2.97 vs 3.66) I still think the A’s will have a clear lead by then.

In terms of batting the braves are a bit better (0.259 vs 0.246) but they have faced some easy to score temas then the A’s so I would expect a large advantage from them in this aspect – for me it’s going to be big win for the A’s here.
