Premier League - Bangalore Challengers v Hyderabad Deccan Chargers

A firecracking game set up here today, with the 2 of the bottom 3 taking on each other as the Bangalore Challengers take on the Deccan Chargers with bot teams needing to win this game to stay in the hunt for the IPL finals. A loss here could end it all as they both have only 1 win from 5 games.

Deccan Chargers have clearly one of the best opening pairs of VVS Laxman and Adam Gilchrist followed by Herschelle Gibbs or Shahid Afridi. All men have to really stand up and prove their worth for putting the team in a good position.

Deccan have these natural attacking players that Bangalore are lacking as Jaffer and Praveen Kumar have been struggling and then followed by Kallis, who has yet to find great form, but should Ross Taylor be pushed up the order, he could be a real threat for the Deccan Chargers.

The opening bowlers for Deccan are a bit better with the wily old fox Chaminda Vaas and RP Singh opening the bowling, it could be a tough ask for Banaglore, whereas Praveen Kumar has shown us some signs of good bowling but he and Zaheer have been predominently lacklustre.

Look out for Gibbs to be pushed up possibly today, as he needs to put the runs after getting a lot of stick after the last game.
