Mired in their longest losing streak in three seasons, the Boston Red Sox should receive a boost to their struggling lineup Tuesday night that might help end the slide. The Red Sox look to avoid a sixth consecutive defeat when they open a three-game set against Roy Halladay and the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park. After its first off day since April 7 on Monday, Boston should have David Ortiz and Mike Lowell back when they face Halladay. The ace right-hander helped the Blue Jays complete a three-game home sweep of the Red Sox on April 6, pitching eight innings and giving up four runs in a 7-4 victory.
Overall in this game tonight...the Boston Red Sox are absolutely due to win a game here. Even if they don't get it done tonight...the return of Ortiz and Lowell will surely play a part in this game tonight, and the Red Sox will most surely keep this game within a run. Halladay is tough, no lie...but this is still the defending World Champion Boston Red Sox, and they have a little ace up their sleeve tonight with a Jon Lester on the mound...he himself is putting together a quietly very good season!! I think Boston wins this one tonight, but I'm going with the much better bet here in terms of value...let it loose with the stakes, I'm going 10/10 for my personal betting, and I'm betting on the Sox to either lose by 1 run, or to win this game outright!!
