The Milwaukee Brewers expect to significantly improve at two positions Tuesday night when they open another important three-game series against the NL Central rival Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Not only will center fielder Mike Cameron finally make his Brewers debut after serving a 25-game suspension for testing positive twice for a banned stimulant, but staff ace Ben Sheets is expected to be back on the mound after missing his last start due to soreness in his right triceps. Sheets should benefit from having one of the game's top defensive center fielders in Cameron behind him.
Overall here...this game looks as though the Cubs have a great chance to win...and hey, it's baseball...anything can happen on any given night....but Ben Sheets has been unreal for the Brewers this season...and if his injury is behind him, he will dominate the Cubs again. Jason Marquis is a good pitcher who is throwing for the Cubs tonight...but the Brewers are totally different team with Mike Cameron in their line up...he killed the ball in the spring, and putting him in the 2 hole is a big benefit to this line up that has struggled to hit the ball this season so far. I think those two differnces will be a big help tonight as the two top contenders in this Division square off. I'm taking the Brewers behind a hopefully healthy Ben Sheets to win by at least 2 runs. 5-3 or something like that would suit me just fine.
