This tip is for the Rapids vs. the San Jose EQ, a new team this season in the MLS.
Fresh off their 1-0 win at New England on Saturday, the Western-Conference leading Colorado Rapids look to continue their fine form this Saturday as they host ex-Rapids player Joe Cannon and the rest of the expansion side San Jose Earthquakes for the only time this season this Saturday night.
San Jose has yet to win a game in their first 2 tries of their franchise, and still have not managed to score a goal. They have conceded 3 times, so actually their defense isn't too horrible. But clearly, this is not a team that is expecting to win much this year...if at all. The Rapids have started blazing hot, and they have a chance this year if they can keep playing at this level to cause a real stir in this seasons MLS playoffs. I know the season has just started, but they have looked great at times. The Rapids only home match was a 4-0 trouncing of David Beckham and the LA Galaxy. This team at home is a monster, and San Jose will quickly learn this. I am taking the Rapids at -1 here, because they will win...it is just a matter of how much. San Jose hardly even has a chance to draw in this one, so we should at least get our money back. I'm going big stakes on this one...as I feel at least a 2 goal margin for Rapids is likely.
