WC Sheffield - Joe Perry v Graeme Dott
I have to admit the odds on this have suprised me bigtime. For those who do not follow snooker Graeme Dott has totally lost his form losing his last 15 matches. He has suffered a terrible time of it personally with the death of his father in law 18 months ago and his wife having a cancer scare. It has left him being treated for depression and as recently as a week ago he claimed he wasnt even going to turn up at Sheffield.
However he has changed his mind and while i have a lot of sympathy for Dott how can you possibly bet on a guy who has said this in the press:
"I'm certainly a lot better than I was - there has been a massive change, although I am still a long way off from being okay and my form is a long way off from being good.''
His form and frame of mind has gotten so bad he actually managed to miss the entire pack breaking off a few months ago.
Were he to put all this behind him and win it would be an enormous turnaround and for me a massive shock. I cannot see him doing it, Joe Perry has to be a maximum bet to inflict more misery on Graeme Dott.
