Just routine bet here - fading Russian early in clay season. Although Davydenko won title in Miami in style beating many top players and showing excellent stuff I just can't trust him here. He makes life a lot harder with this leaded schedule. It's not possible to play in every tournament, not speaking about success. Nikolay complain about some health problems in Davis Cup - that's why He skipped first day. But He won 4th rubber and clinch Russia in next round. It wasn't exactly the same performance as Miami - Davydenko forehand was much worse, also movement wasn't perfect, but He managed to get through thanks to Berdych injury. Now He trashed Melzer in first round, but I don't pay much attention on that, because in my opinion Melzer is one of biggest headcases in tour, so It looks like He bet him self with those unprepared volleys. Now He must face easy opponent from first sight, but in my opinion He isn't. Minar showed good tennis in Miami getting though qualies and lost to Roddick in third round. Also He got success on Latin clay reaching quarters in Costa do Sauipe. And If Davydenko will not be fully focused It can turn to very close battle. Czech can play from baseline and also get some advantage from serve. And these a little bit dropped odds are still worth trying. I choose one ball bookie, as there is still possible Davydenko retirement.
