Gambrinus Liga - Jablonec v Brno

According to the weather forecast rain is expected today. I think it wouldn't help the game very much, even though the weather seems to be quite fine so far. Jablonec is to be beaten this spring yet. They base the game on a solid defence and it brings its fruit. But Jablonec offence is rather poor. This season Jablonec did not score more than one goal in any of the matches played. And especialy on the small home pitch goalshy matches are very usual, as the total score 6:8 from 10 home matches proves. I'm sure against Brno they won't play as offensively as against Kladno in the last home match. Their poor offence is well documented the last match against Bohemians, where Jablonec was not able to overcome veteran-defence of the hosts being down to 10 men, despite they managed to equalize at the end.

Brno won 3 matches in a row. They are strong especially when playing at home. I think their defence is good. When I skip the first spring game at Plzen, where Brno showed their by far the worst performance this spring, they conceded just once, from Slavia. Well, Teplice seems to be totally out of form, while Olomouc missed several scoring opportunities, but still I think the defence works better than in the autumn. And it should be defence, Brno will base its game on today as it misses forward Besta, who suffered injury in the match against Olomouc. Another forward Wagner has a broken bone in the palm and is questionnable today. Another forward Simr has some problems with his back, but should be ready to play. Dosek is comming back from an injury, but it is not expected he could play from the start of the match. Adding Kalouda, who left in the mid-week for CSKA Moscow I think Brno lost a lot from their offensive power and should rely mainly on the defence.

I expect a careful approach from both sides. Jablonec needs any point to get away from the relegation zone, especially as in the next round they travel to Sparta, while Brno would be surely satisfied with one point from an away match.
