Islanders Vs Canadiens
Montreal are coming off a defeat against Senators who have 87 points in Northeast division too. So will be motivated to win tonight to regain the lead at the top of the table. Montreal are leading this season's series 3-0, all games won in regulation. 4-1; 3-1 and recent match up in Feb produced 4-1 score line again. So far I would say convincing wins with few goals conceded. Correct me if I'm wrong but last time I think Islanders defeated Montreal was last season back in Feb 07, it was 3-2 to Islanders, Montreal playing away from home in that game. Also I think if Montreal show more of what they did against Devils, then this should be an easy flowing game. Canadiens are 1st in power play ranking, are 17-13-5 at home and are 6-4-0 in their last 10 over all.
Montreal have lost last 1 out of 2 played at home in a row and have won 3 out of last 5 over all, with all 3 wins coming away from home.

Mar 8, 2008 MTL 5 @ LAK 2

Islanders on the other hand coming off another routine defeat, this time against Panthers. The Islanders have scored two goals or less in eight of their last 11 contests, going 3-8-0 in that span to fall further in the East standings. They are eight points behind eighth-place Philadelphia with just 10 games to play. They could be without Fedotenko tonight. islanders though allowed four goals or more in eight of the last 10 contests. Rick DiPietro is 1-6-0 with a 4.31 goals-against average in his last seven games.
Islanders have lost 3 straight away from home and 4 in last 5 over all.
Mar 12, 2008 NYI 2 @ FLA 4
Mar 11, 2008 NYI 4 @ TBL 8
Mar 8, 2008 NYI 1 @ PHI 4
Mar 6, 2008 NYR 4 @ NYI 1
Mar 4, 2008 NYI 4 @ NYR 3
So all in all I expect Montreal to sweep this season's series 4-0. Based on both teams recent performances I believe that Canadiens are strong favourites here to win in regulation. Good luck!

What makes a bet ?
I’ve often wondered how other guys decide whether to bet or not. I know personally that there are no strict adhereances that I abide by ( there should be……but there isn’t), and I just wondered how you guys out there make a bet, and what makes you bet the amount that you do.
I generally like [...]
