Formula 1 - Red Bull v Williams
Red Bull vs Williams
Gearbox woes for Williams today. They barely got any track time in FP1 and more troubles in FP2 didnt improve matters much. Importantly for this bet it affected Nico Rosberg more than Nakajima. Why so? Well with the best will in the world Nakajima is not a top F1 man and has his drive courtesy of the corporate sponsors and money he brings to the team. He will be outqualified and outdriven by Nico Rosberg on a consistent basis in 2008.
The lack of tracktime will mean the Williams duo are playing catchup now and will be desperate to avoid trouble ahead of qualifying.
I actually believe the Williams will be the big mover up the grid this year and i am keen to support Nico in as many markets as i can where the opposition allows.
I saw this matchup and i find myself actually opposing a team and driver i wanted to support. The reason is the eye catching pace of the Red Bull pair Mark Webber and David Coulthard.
The Red Bull has gone very very well in pre season and they have bought that form with them to Adelaide. Not only have they been fast but also very reliable altho DC suffered what looks to have been an uncharacteristic failure in FP1 today.
With the 2 in the top 5 in FP2 and Webber in his home grand prix the Williams team will have its work cut out to get a car home before a Red Bull does.
Astonishingly (to my eyes) Nordicbet have seen fit to make Williams 1.70 and Red Bull 2.0 in a race head to head match bet. I would price it up the other way around.
Lump on the Red Bull boys, they are cracking value.
