Red Wings are 1-8-2 in ther last 11 games. Injuries to their top defensmen and goalie Hasek have depleted their squad. They've lost their 17 point lead at the top of the Western Conference and are now only 3 points ahead of Dallas. But in their last game against San Jose they've stepped up a gear and put out a good performance I think. Acquiring Stuart and being able to field Hasek and Kronwall who have returned from injuries made them believe they can win games again, it's worth mentioning Ericksson too, he's doing allright! Hasek made 19 saves and Kronwall assisted on both goals. Their offense picked up too, Zetterberg and Samuelsson scored a goal each in 3-2 defeat. Wings still have 4 injuries to deal with for this game, Dan Cleary (day to day) Nicklas Lidstrom (knee), Brian Rafalski (groin) and Chris Chelios (knee). I really like the way Wings played against Sharks. Dont forget Sharks are on the roll now, tey've won 5 in a row! Sharks are 5th in Western Conference and were the better unit (injury free) on the ice on the night. Detroit are ranked 4th in power play and 7th in penalty kill. Interestingly Hasek is 4-1-2 with a 1.81 GAA in eight career games versus the Sabres!

Sabres are another of many inconsistent teams in NHL. They are coming off a defeat against Montreal, they were outplayed 6-2 (Nate888 was right giving it 10/10). Although they lead season series with Detroit 1-0, that win coming in SO, I doubt they will win tonight. They have lost 3 out of last 5. In that span they've scored 21 and conceded 23 goals and are 5-4-1 in their last 10, average stats and nothing special. Sabres can score but OMG they concede a lot too. Recently they were dished out defeats by struggling Flyers, Rangers and Montreal.
Sabres are 2-3-1 in their last 5

As risky as this bet is I bet Detroit will win at these great odds. Red Wings have had too many losses and against Sharks they reminded me of good old Detroit on fire, pity about the loss though. Sooner or later Detroit will win and I think Sabres are perfect opponents to pick up points against. With Dallas losing last night difference is still 3 points between the top teams Detroit and Dallas. So all to play for tonight! It's a question of can Sabres score more than they concede? I hope not. Detroit win in regulation please and Good Luck!
