NHL - Dallas Stars v Nashville
Great match up at the right time! Another Dallas game another star is born. Acquiring Brad Richards was so the right thing to do for Dallas. He was superb against Blackhawks, 5 assists (tied franchise record) and great skating, oh boy I wonder what Dallas can achieve now. It's a good start for Brad, so tonight I will be hoping he'll continue his career domination against Nashville. Dallas are 13-2-0 and have won four straight. Coming off a great win against Blackhawks 7-4, nice hockey, lost of goals and great plays - really love the way Dallas play now, quality all around the ice! Reason I will go mental on this one is pretty simple, Nashville lead season series 2-1 but defeated Dallas in Dec 1-0 and 5-1 Oct 07, remember Dallas were awful back then. Things have changed and if you watched last match up between these two teams 23rd Feb you know why. Smith (not saying he's a bad goalie or anything) was in goal and Richards wasn't even part of the team back then. I get the feeling Holmqvist will get his first start tonight and he wil be eager to prove how good he is. He knows he will have to fight Turco for a starting place. But whoever starts, let me tell you these are great goalies, will do well!
Dallas won last 2 on home ice and have won 4 out of last 5 over all.

Nashville away from home you gotta love this. Lost 2 straight away from home. Coming off a defeat against Sabres 4-8 . I watched Sabres and OMG they are all over the place and they made it look easy against Nashville, so I wonder what will Dallas make of it! Nashville are 0-2-1 in their last three having conceded 17 goals and scored 9. Nashville recently acquired Brandon Bochenski from Anaheim Ducks and Jan Hlavac from Tampa Bay to replace injured Gelinas and Ortmeyer. Hlavac scored one goal against Sabres. Jason Arnott remains Nashville's leading goal scorer. Both goalies Dan Ellis (tied for 31st in league wins) & Chris Mason (tied for 27th in league wins) both have each a win and a loss in their careers against Dallas, no special stats there for me. Nashville are great at home but away from home they are a recipe for disaster and this will continue tonight I'm sure.
Nashville have lost 4 out of last 5 and have also lost 2 straight away from home.

Ok so Detroit lost last night as expected and Dallas have another chance to get closer to Red Wings. Only 3 points separate them now in Western Conference. Dallas are focused on what they wanna achieve and knowing that all is in their hands I consider them to be firm favourites to win this game in regulation. Add their recent 6-3 win in Nashville and you will get a very clear picture who to put your money on here! High stake please and Good luck!
