Super Rugby League - Bradford Bulls v St Helens RLFC Rugby betting preview

I tipped this bet up last week in the Bradford / Huddersfield game and I'm going with it again tonight when the Bulls entertain St Helens.

For anyone unfamiliar with this type of kick here is the definition:

If a player is standing on or behind their 40-metre line, they can gain ground by kicking the ball into their opponent's 20-metre area. However, the ball has to bounce in the field of play before going out to touch inside the 20m area. If the referee is happy all these things have happened, they will give the attacking side the head and feed at the scrum.

I stated last week that I feel the price is wrong here and whilst it is available I'll take it. It suggests a 40/20 occurs roughly every three and a half matches. I'm more of the opinion its about every 7 matches.

There is a slight worry that Sean Long has history of kicking these, but I think at this stage of the season when the pitches are soft its much harder to get these kicks. They tend to occur more in the summer months. Anyway its a bet placed on the price being wrong more than anything.
