This might seem a little bit of a strange bet as I have absolutely no stats to back it up but sometimes you have to trust what your mind and your memory tells you.
I watch nearly all the live Superleague matches on TV and go to a fair few games too and I always think there are never many successful 40/20 kicks. I think maybe I see one every 7 or 8 matches. Briers at Warrington goes for it a bit, as does Sinfield at Leeds but I cant say I've seen Bradford or Huddersfield get many. I'd say you get more attempts at Drop goals these days (probably because the competition is getting better and better every year resulting in closer matches) and the odds for Drop Goal and 40/20 are roughly the same (3/1). Now I cant be having that, I reckon the chances of a Drop Goal in a game are much higher then getting a Successful 40/20.
Anyway so its on that basis I'm having this bet. Without the stats its hard to be convincing, but if I'm right and a 40/20 occurs in about 1 in 7 matches, then the 1.4 for it not to happen is great value. I trust my own instincts here but be warned if you follow me on this bet ..... I might be wrong!
Good Luck ....
