Super Rugby League - Les Catalans v Hull Kingston Rovers

Round 2 of SuperLeague this week and I'm a little puzzled at the generous odds on offer for Hull KR tonight.

Hull KR have played arguably SuperLeague's 2 bets teams so far in Leeds and Saints and have acquited themselves very well in those 2 matches. Just falling short at Leeds when they ran out of steam with 10mins to go, losing 20-12 after leading most of the game. Last week they went one better by beating Saints at home 24-22. Two excellent results for them.

Compare that to Catalans getting a hard earned victory against a poor Castleford team who look doomed to me already, and I would have had KR down as favourites for this one.

I think the bookies are going on the fact that Catalans have taken some impressive scalps in their own back yard over the last few years, but that was when they had Stacey Jones. I'm not sure they'll be as good at home this year. Hull KR started last year very well with 4 wins in their opening 5 games, and have a much better squad this season than last. They also won this fixture last year. 5/4 is a good value price for the away side, take it with medium stakes.
