NHL - Washington Capitals v Ottawa Senators

I've been having a little break from betting for a while now, I just haven't hat the time. But now as I have settled in a new job ++, I'm hoping to be a bit more active again.

As I was checking the odds for tonights games (as I do every day), I think I found a bet worth taking.

Ottawa travels to Washington tonight after 4 home games which have given 3 wins and 1 loss. The loss came in their last game against Islanders, where also super-centre Jason Spezza had to leave the ice after 1st period after a hard, but fair, tackle by Freddy Meyer. Spezza have traveled with the team to Washington and will most likely play, but he will not be 100% for tonights game. With Spezza running on 90% and Heatley out, I think that Ottawa might have some problems in Washington.

This is the 3rd game of 5 home games for Washington. They got 1 win and 1 loss after winning against Colorado 2-1 and losing against Philly 4-6 on the 13th. Have had a poor season so far with .401 win% but have been playing better lately. Have won 3 out of their 5 last home games, including 6-3 against Ottawa 01.01.08. They have won all 3 matches against Ottawa this year and can make a sweep winning this last game (haven't happened since 95-96). Ovechkin just signed a HUGE 13-year long contract with the Capitals and have 54 points in 44 games this year. The 1st line of Ovechkin, rookie Backstrøm (31p in 44 games) and Kozlov (25p in 44 games) have been working good together this year and have ended up with a total of 19 points during their 3 games against Ottawa this year.

When Ottawa has Heatley (53p) out and Spezza (57p) not playing 100%, i think Washington can have a fair chance here tonight if they keep scoring as they have been doing this season against Ottawa. Unibet offers a nice odds of 2.95 for Washington reg.time, which I stake with 4/10.
