A1 Basketball - Rethymno v Panellinios BC

Rethimno and Panellinios will meet each other tomorrow for the Greek League championship after a two-weeks break.Actually Panellinios had a game last weekend for the quarterfinals of the Greek cup.Rethimno with just 2 wins so far stands on the last place on the board having four other teams for company.Panellinios after an impressive start with six consecutive wins put high goals for this year but the next results were not so good.Former coach Kalafatakis replaced from Elias Zouros who left Paris in the middle of the season.

Rethimno with Pedoulakis coaching the team tries to make a new start in order to avoid relegation.The results are bad.The win against Panionios was rather lucky IMO and actually Panionios gave the game to his opponents.Center Zouza was released yesterday and now Rethimno has to find another player to fill the gap.

Panellinios on the other hand showed great improvement with Zouros on the bench.The Athens team won easily Panionios for the Greek cup and had a rather satisfying performance vs Red Star Belgrad despite the negative result.(this was the first game of the new coach).

I will go here with the far better team of Panellinios.I do not have doubts that Rethimno will give everything for the win and in fact i expect to see a better face from the Creta team,but in the next games with some new players,not now.Panellinios is powerful,especially under the basket,and i think the rookie center of Rethimno,Vougioukas,will have serious problems agaisnt N'Diaye,Sklavos and Papaioakeim.
