This might not be the most original of bets today as I see a few other guys have tipped this up already but I had this one chalked down a few days ago and agree with many opinions on this one. The only thing holding me back on the stake is the fact that so many people seem to be on Reading and thats often when, to the surprise of everyone, the opposite happens and they lose!!
Boro are on the slide though and have struggled to score this season with only 12 goals in 14 matches. In fact they have only 3 goals in their last 7 games! They have been woeful away from home where they have only won once (at Fulham back in August), Drawn once (at Bolton) and lost 5 times. They have lost first choice keeper Mark Schwarzer to injury and that is a big blow. Aliadiere is fit again which is a boost as Mido is reportedly out till the new year. Arca may also return and would boost the midfield but they are a team low on confidence and the pressure must be weighing on Southgate to get a result. At the end of the day they dont score (only 5 away goals all season) and they do conceed so to see odds against for Reading is a bet that has to be taken.
Reading you see can score goals, they have netted in their last 10 games. They do conceed too though and Boro could nick a goal but I dont think any more than that. This match should go to the team who can score the most goals and Reading have the edge here with Doyle, Kitson, Long, Lita, Harper, Hunt all capable of scoring. Boro are gonna be relying on Downing, Aliadiere and Tuncay for their goals and only Aliadiere has 1 away goal to his name.
Could be a few goals in this .... 2-1 .... 3-1 maybe. Fingers crossed...
Good Luck............
