NHL - Ottawa v Philadelphia
Sens have played solid this season, but are 3-3-1 lately with inconsistency stepping in.This might get even worse if they stay without their point leader Alfredsson for longer period (however, is just day-to-day).If he is to miss todays game, other guys will have to step up for scoring - that shouldnt be too big of a problem as they have a whole line of quality attackers (Spezza, Heatley).Ottawa is 4th in the scoring average of 3,19 per game - their game average in the last five is 6,2.
Flyers are 12-7-2 and they successfully put terrible last year season behind them. What they have to do right now is find some consistency and get on winning streak. They battled the Capitals last night, and came back from a hole 0:3 to loose int the OT 4:3.However they showed they can be very dangerous on the attack, creating fast rushes and good chances. They are very good in scoring, ranked 5th in the league with 3,14 goal average. The team is lead by Briere and Richards, who both had a good game last night.
It will two way traffic tonight, with both teams taking plenty of shoots in fast attacks.A lot of pace a lot of pressure, which should result in many goals.
Right now, goalies of the two are not performing too well, and neither are the defences - teams seem to be working on outscoring their opponents.
They met 8 times over last two seasons, from which 5 went Over 5,5.
As mentioned above, Both teams can score (even if Alfredsoon is out) and both will look to win the game. Most attention will be on scoring here and IMO, 4:3 for the Senators is very realistic.
